Actress Zuleikha Robinson has had a lot of success in the world of television, appearing on such shows The X-Files, The Lone Gunmen, Rome, Homeland, The Following, Still Star-Crossed, and even a couple that I, someone who has fallen far behind on TV, have watched – Covert Affairs and Lost. Robinson has now signed on to appear in another series: she is part of the new cast being assembled for the second season of Fox's The Exorcist.
Alfonso Herrera, Ben Daniels, and Kurt Egyiawan are the only season one cast members returning for the new season, which begins with
Father Tomas Ortega (Herrera) and a newly collarless Marcus Keane (Daniels) out of Chicago and on the road, searching out evil. Across the Atlantic, Father Bennett (Egyiawan) attempts to weed out those within the Vatican who have turned against God. Ultimately, Tomas and Marcus are led to Andrew Kim, a former child psychologist who runs a group home for five at-risk foster children on a secluded private island off the coast of Seattle. When one of the children under Andrew’s care is targeted by a powerful force, the two priests head west, setting themselves on a collision course with hell.
John Cho will be playing Andrew Kim, with Brianna Hildebrand as one of the youngsters in his care.
The character Robinson will be playing is called Mouse, and she is "a mysterious figure waging her own private war against the Catholic patriarchy. Mysterious and pragmatic, Mouse takes her duty seriously, but in the end, she’s loyal to only herself."
The Exorcist returns to Fox airwaves on Friday, September 29th.
Created by Jeremy Slater, the series is, of course, inspired by the classic film THE EXORCIST.
