VENOM and GANGSTER SQUAD director Ruben Fleischer's ZOMBIELAND 2: DOUBLE TAP starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin hit theaters this past weekend. And today we hear that Fleischer has an idea for ZOMBIELAND 3 and it involves seeing what the rest of the zombie-infected world looks like.
He reveals:
The whole idea of meeting other survivors was cool, but one idea that was brought up that I think would be cool is seeing what's going on in other parts of the world, which would be exciting for me. Let's imagine the movie beginning with them all getting off a boat and landing someplace and seeing what that's like. You know, just not shooting me in Atlanta again. Hawaii sounds nice this time of year… nights in February in Atlanta are really cold. I wouldn't be mad to see what's going on in Turks and Caicos. What their zombie virus was.
Did you check out ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP this past weekend? What did you think? Let us know below! The post-apocalyptic zombie comedy is written by DEADPOOL and original ZOMBIELAND scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. It has been rated R for "bloody violence, language throughout, some drug and sexual content" and centers on
The comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland. The zombie slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. Most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.
Original ZOMBIELAND director Ruben Fleischer returned to the helm and re-teamed with original writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (DEADPOOL 2). Gavin Polone produced and Reese and Wernick also executive produced. Lauren Abrahams oversaw the project for the studio. The sequel is currently playing at a theater near you. You can snag a copy of the original on Blu-ray HERE.
