Zombie tale Harold’s Going Stiff to arrive on VOD, in limited theaters next month

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It's been quite some time since we last heard word on writer/director Keith Wright's zombie themed comedy/horror HAROLD'S GOING STIFF, with our last story coming more than two years ago when we shared a cool viral video from the flick. Personally, I've been curious to check this one out ever since our very own Andre Manseau reviewed it, stating that it was "original enough to warrant your attention" (read his review HERE). Our friends across the pond got to check this flick out back in May when it premiered on the UK's Horror Channel, but now we here in the States will finally get the chance to check it out next month as HAROLD'S GOING STIFF will be hitting VOD and limited theaters on August 20th.

From the Press Release:

Level 33 Entertainment is proud to announce the release of the award-winning zombie-themed “mockumentary” feature film HAROLD’S GOING STIFF. An official selection of 19 international film festivals and recipient of the Narrative Feature Award at the Austin Film Festival, HAROLD’S GOING STIFF will have a multi-platform release on August 20th, including select theaters nationwide and on VOD platforms including iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, PlayStation, and Xbox available for rental (check platforms for pricing) or purchase at an SRP of $14.99.

Written and directed by Keith Wright and produced in the UK by Richard Guy, HAROLD’S GOING STIFF stars newcomers Stan Rowe and Sarah Spencer.

HAROLD’S GOING STIFF takes place in grey-skied, rural England and centers on Harold (Rowe), who is suffering from a new disease that is slowly transforming him into a zombie. A young, lonely nurse, Penny (Spencer), is sent to help ease the symptoms of Harold's frightening illness, and they quickly and unexpectedly become very close. After an experimental treatment fails, Harold's condition deteriorates rapidly, and the two end up on the run from a group of violent vigilantes seeking to rid their town of zombies.

Theatrical venues for HAROLD’S GOING STIFF include the The FilmBar in Phoenix, AZ; Viva Cinema in Houston, TX; Jumpcut Café in Los Angeles, CA; and several other locations nationwide.
