So apparently there's going to be a new MY LITTLE PONY movie in the works, based on the popular Hasbro toys (and, more specifically, the most recent animated incarnation). This will be the third MY LITTLE PONY feature film, following the original 1986 version, and the weird DeviantArt come to life MY LITTLE PONY: EQUESTRIA GIRLS.
And so far, besides the main core cast of Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, Andrea Libman, and Tabitha St. Germain, the film is boasting an all-star ensemble, with Emily Blunt, Michael Pena, Sia, and Liev Schreiber, among others, along for the ride.
Well, we can now add Gamora herself, Zoe Saldana, to the list! All the roles so far seem to be unspecified, but that shouldn't be for long.
Besides that, Hasbro has also released a new, official logo for the film. Let's take a look:
Now, I never got into this show (so I was never a "Brony" or anything), but I had friends who were, and honestly the show looked fun for what it was (I'm just a sad, miserable husk of flesh, so whimsy is anathema to me). Regardless, I see no reason why fun, colorful things have to be gendered. Let's just hope the film is good, and works for everypony in all walks of life.
MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE will trot to theaters October 6th, 2017.
