Amid the release week of Shazam: Fury of the Gods and the continued rumors surrounding James Gunn‘s new interpretation of Superman, a mysterious message pops up from Zack Snyder that implies a connection to the Justice League. It would seem like the final product of Zack Snyder’s DC world would conclude with the long-awaited release of the Snyder Cut of the Justice League movie on HBO Max. Although fans continue to voice their desire to see a restored Snyderverse, Snyder has since moved on to new projects, including the upcoming Rebel Moon.

An ominous message from Lord Darkseid has just been posted on Zack Snyder’s Twitter. The short video shows a hijacked broadcast that draws strong similarities to General Zod’s message to Earth in Man of Steel. As the broadcast flickers and changes frequency, the words “Incoming Message” flash on the screen, followed by a text reveal that reads, “From Lord Darkseid.” We would, then, get a voiceover from Darkseid where he teases, “April 28th, 29th, and 30th. Save the date,” which ends the video. The post simply has the hashtag “#fullcircle.”

Cue the excitement and speculation from the crowd. His Twitter followers comment on their surprise of assuming this video had something to do with Rebel Moon until Darkseid’s name appears. Some followers believe this is an announcement of a new Snydercon — which was a charity event held at Snyder’s alma mater, The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. The event included three nights of screening the director’s cuts of his films, Dawn of the Dead, Watchmen, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Of course, there are some that are hopeful that this signals a restoration of the Snyderverse or is somehow related to a release of the Ayer cut of Suicide Squad. With such a brief tease, imaginations tend to run wild. As the new DC film universe is underway with such canceled projects, including Black Adam sequels, Wonder Woman sequels, and Henry Cavill’s return as the blue boy scout, it’s likely this involves his past projects and not an announcement for anything in the future DC universe. However, as the saying goes, never say never.
