Zac Efron to play Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile

No pun intended but the title of the new Zac Efron-starring Ted Bundy flick EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE is a mouthful. Get it? Meh. Would've been a killer joke had this been about Jeffrey Dahmer.

Anyway, yes, it is true, Zac f*cking Efron has been chosen to portray one of the world's most notorious serial killers for director Joe Berlinger's new movie. Berlinger's name may sound familiar as the man who directed BLAIR WITCH 2: BOOK OF SHADOWS. Wait, where are you going??

BOOK OF SHADOWS, I feel, is an underrated flick, but all of that aside, Berlinger is also the director of the PARADISE LOST documentary series, which follows the harrowing story of the West Memphis Three. If you haven't seen those films, watch them asap as they are more horrific and chilling than 90% of actually horror movies.

EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE synopsis:

Told through the perspective of Elizabeth Kloepfer, Bundy's longtime girlfriend who went years denying the accusations against Bundy, but ultimately turned him into the police. Only nearing his execution, when Bundy began talking about his extensive and heinous murders, did Kloepfer, and the rest of the world, learn the true scope of his numerous and grizzly murders.

EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE is written by Michael Werwie and is set to begin principal photography October 9th.
