NBC wants to stay in business with Dwayne Johnson so it should come as no surprise that the network has decided to renew his series, Young Rock, for a third season.
The series is inspired by Dwayne Johnson’s life and it focuses on different chapters of Johnson’s life. The show spans decades, from Johnson growing up in a strong and resilient family to him playing football at the University of Miami to starting a career in professional wrestling. Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, and Uli Latukefu star as Johnson in different stages of his life while Dwayne Johnson plays a version of himself while he runs for president in the 2032 election. The series also stars Joseph Lee Anderson, Stacey Leilua, Ana Tuisila, Fasitua Amosa, John Tui, and Matthew Willig
Here is how you know this feels more about maintaining a relationship with Dwayne Johnson rather than Young Rock being a true hit. Per TVLine, Young Rock has struggled to stay above the 2 million viewer mark (in Live+Same Day ratings). But, since this is NBC’s thinnest sitcom slate in recent years, it delivers the second-best audience and the network declares it is their top-rated comedy in the key 18-49 demo.
Are YOU happy to see Young Rock return?
