I really love Woody Allen. Not just his films, but a lot of his other stuff too. I’m reading his 1978 book Getting Even right now and it’s just one of the funniest things ever. If you’re a fan of the guy’s writing, I highly recommend it.
But yet, I can’t help but approach Allen’s latest film YOU WILL MEET A TALL DARK STRANGER with a sort of “glazed-over” feeling. Why? WHATEVER WORKS worked. The trailer below is alright, with a lot more emphasis on humor than story when compared to the international trailer. I guess it could just be the somewhat ambivalent reception it got a Cannes earlier this year. I don’t know. I’m “meh” about it all and I f*cking hate that.
In any event, you can check out the trailer below or head on over to Yahoo! Movies to see it in HD.
YOU WILL MEET A TALL DARK STRANGER opens September 22nd.
