WTF Happened to Halle Berry?

Halle Berry ranks as one of the most iconic actresses of her generation. Despite winning an Oscar and having an enviable track record, until recently she wasn’t always getting the juicy roles she deserved. Indeed, after years of being sidelined in smaller roles, Berry took the reins of her career by directing and starring in the MMA drama Bruised, which is generating serious Oscar buzz for Berry – and not only as an actress but as a director too.

In this episode of WTF Happened to this Celebrity, we take a look at Berry’s career, from her early days as Eddie Murphy’s drop dead gorgeous love interest in Boomerang, to her eventual mainstream breakthrough in the nineties to superstardom in the early 2000’s. This was her golden period, with roles in X-Men, an Oscar for Monster’s Ball and a starring role opposite Pierce Brosnan in Die Another Day. Yet, one pricy flop (Catwoman) did damage to her reign as a lead. We dig into what happened, and Berry’s eventual, and long overdue, comeback.
