So, I wasn't really a fan of the 2003 Wrong Turn (about teens being stalked and killed by grotesque mutant hillbillies) but I'll give the remake – which just dropped a new trailer – a chance, as I feel that this is the way to do remakes (if they absolutely must): remake movies that weren't great in the first place and find a new angle, rather than classics for simple name recognition.
Anyway, the trailer for the Wrong Turn remake can be watched at the top of the article, and below is the official synopsis:
Friends hiking the Appalachian Trail are confronted by 'The Foundation', a community of people who have lived in the mountains for hundreds of years.
So, what do you guys think? Fans of the original? If so, what do you think of the remake so far? Either way, sound off below!
Meanwhile, Wrong Turn – directed by Mike P. Nelson and starring Matthew Modine, Emma Dumont, and Charlotte Vega – will be coming to theaters January 26th, 2021!
