Wrong Turn reboot has earned an R rating for strong bloody violence and more

There's no word on when THE DOMESTICS (watch it HERE) director Mike P. Nelson's reboot of the WRONG TURN franchise is going to be released, but we do know what the film is rated. The Motion Picture Association has revealed that they gave the new WRONG TURN an R rating for "strong bloody violence, grisly images, and pervasive language". Sounds right in line with what you'd expect the movie to have.

Scripted by Alan B. McElroy, who also wrote the original WRONG TURN (watch it HERE), the new film stars Charlotte Vega as Jes, one of

six friends from New York taking a hiking trip to the beautiful West Virginia Mountains who unwittingly fall prey to a savage sect known as The Foundation, a community of people who have lived in the mountains since before the Civil War.

Vega's co-stars include Matthew Modine, Bill Sage, Emma Dumont, Valerie Jane Parker, Chaney Morrow, David Hutchison, Damian Maffei, Dylan McTee, Adrian Favela, Adain Bradley, Jeremy Ambler, Cory Scott Allen, Gary Ray Stearns, Rhyan Elizabeth Hanavan, Vardaan Arora, Mark Mench, Joshua Stephen Campbell, Jennie Malone, Brian James Fitzpatrick, and Mark Angel.

Although a poster that arrived online last November (check it out below) claimed the new film would be called WRONG TURN: THE FOUNDATION, the Motion Picture Association just lists the title as WRONG TURN.

We'll keep you updated on this reboot as more information is made available.
