I tuned out on the WRONG TURN series after Joe Lynch's awesome WRONG TURN 2: DEAD END. I have always meant to pick the franchise back up and today may be as good a day as any to do so considering the seventh film in the series just might be getting some traction going.
It was way back in 2003 that the franchise started with the old school Eliza Dushku flick, and then the series produced six films up until 2014 when WRONG TURN 6: THE LAST RESORT hit.
Today we have news that WRONG TURN 7 may be moving forward.
The guys and gals over at iHorror are reporting that the film's "official" Facebook page (I'm not too sure it is, in fact, official) says the new WRONG TURN film is ready to go into production by the end of the year.
WRONG TURN 7 Official Facebook post:
“The script for part 7 is ready. It will go into production this year end. We will update the shoot pics soon. Stay connected on [the] official WT 7 page.”
The above wasn't actually a post just to be clear. It was in response to a fan asking about the movie's current status. All the same, if it is true and this is the film's official Facebook page, then it looks like we may very well get a new WRONG TURN by 2018.
But we'll see…
Whatever happens, we here at AITH will keep you guys up to date on any and all news we hear about WRONG TURN 7. And/or the eventual WRONG TURN reboot that we all just know is coming…
Until then you can buy Joe Lynch's WRONG TURN 2 on Blu-ray RIGHT HERE.
