Yikes! Production on Marc Forster’s WORLD WAR Z doesn’t seem to be going as smoothly as we’d like – earlier this year, we brought you the disappointing news of the film’s release being pushed back a whole six months and now it seems that the flick might have an even longer and bumpier road into theaters. As reported by Daily Mail, Brad Pitt has joined the rest of the cast on set in Budapest for an additional seven weeks of reshoots. Wow. Seven weeks? They could probably shoot an entire new movie in that time. That being said, reasons for the additional shooting time are not known at this point. Hopefully, we’ll hear some reassuring words from the cast and crew in the coming weeks.
The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane, who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.
WORLD WAR Z stars Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos (below), Matthew Fox, Elyes Gabel, David Morse and James Badge Dale. The film is still planned for a June 21, 2013 release.
