“DRIVE bore very little similarity to a chase, or race action film… having very little driving in the motion picture,” said Deming in the suit. She’s looking for her money back and an end to the practice of studios cutting misleading trailers.
There are so many comments to be made here, I hardly know where to start. It’s a lawsuit only Lionel Hutz could dream up (any lawsuit meant to get back $10 is completely frivolous) and somewhere some lawyers and judges are wasting their time dealing with this. Hell, I’m wasting my time writing about this! I’m suing Sarah Deming for being an idiot and wasting my time this morning…
Misleading trailers have been and will always be a problem. But was it really a problem with DRIVE? Did anyone, other than this woman, actually think that DRIVE was going to be like FAST AND FURIOUS?
Well, good luck Sarah Deming, on your mission to get your money back and change the way Hollywood marketing operates. Oh and I look forward to your lawsuit against the theater showing EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE because you sat in the back of the theater and the audio was a little quiet.
