Wolfe Video releasing Polish hit @SuicideRoom on DVD this March

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

It was back in June where we reported about Wolfe Video had grabbed the US rights for the Polish hit @SUICIDEROOM. The film was an official selection at the 2011 Berlin Film Festival.

Well US audiences will finally get to check the film out as Wolfe announced that the film will hit DVD and Digital Media this coming March 13th. The film seems awfully strange and bizarre to me and naturally I’d like to check it out and see it for myself. Check out the synopsis and trailer below!

Moody, dark and handsome Dominik is tormented by his classmates after video footage of his drunken kiss with bully Alex is spread across the Internet. Grappling with the public humiliation Dominik seeks solace in an avatar based “suicide room” where the pink-haired rebel Sylvia consoles him. “We’re freaks, weirdos, outside the norm. You’re different. Treasure that,” she tells him. As Dominik’s depression worsens, and his wealthy, inattentive parents fail to deal with the problem, @SuicideRoom follows Dominik’s virtual adventures (in stunning animated sequences) as his online adventures begin to dangerously bleed into his real life.

The film was directed by Jan Komasa and it stars Jakub Gierszal and Roma Gasiorowska (below). The DVD will feature the film in Polish with English subtitles.
