Tom Cruise, Mission Impossible

After the course of six MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE movies, Tom Cruise has risked life and limb in a series of death-defying stunts, and to the surprise of no one, he'll be continuing that tradition with the upcoming MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7. Production on the seventh installment of the long-running franchise is back underway, and footage has been released of one of the crazy stunts Tom Cruise is involved in.

The footage finds Tom Cruise speeding down a ramp built on the edge of the Helsetkopen mountain in Stranda, Norway before launching into the air and parachuting to safety while the motorcycle plummets to the ground. Check it out below.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 writer/director Christopher McQuarrie has previously teased that we haven't seen anything yet in terms of stunts and that they're "figured out three obscene things that he's doing that I'm terrified of, that make the helicopter chase [in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT] look like tinker toys." I have no idea what else Tom Cruise can do (beyond going to space), but I can't wait to find out. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 is slated to hit theaters on November 19, 2021, with MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 8 expected to follow on November 4, 2022.
