"When witches don't fight, we burn."
I don't know about you, but I am super stoked about the upcoming season of "American Horror Story" subtitled 'Coven', and if all of the cool posters, teasers, stills and casting news we've seen and heard so far is any indication, I think we can expect this new season to be the best (and freakiest) so far.
Today we have a new TV spot that introduces you to the witchy world of Miss Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies, which is run by Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) and teaches young witches how to protect themselves against mysterious attacks that have been plaguing their kind. Fed up with the witch hunts, Cordelia's powerful and estranged mother Fiona (Jessica Lange) returns home from Los Angeles to take action. This ain't Hogwarts, kiddos.
Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival, Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own. Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Jessica Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way.
"American Horror Story: Coven" will premiere on Wednesday, October 9th at 10pm and stars Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Gabourey Sidibe, Patti LuPone, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Denis O’Hare, Alexandra Breckenridge, Alexander Dreymon and Jamie Brewer.
