Warner Independent Pictures and Warner Bros. International have picked up the rights to the Leonardo DiCaprio-produced documentary THE 11TH HOUR. Directed by Leila Conners Peterson and Nadia Conners and co-written and narrated by DiCaprio, the film centers on “how humanity has arrived at this moment – how we live, how we impact the earth’s ecosystems, and what we can do to change our course.” Solutions on what we can do to change our course are elicited from fifty of the world’s brightest minds, including quadriplegic mega-genius Stephen Hawking, former head of the CIA James Woolsey and former Soviet Prime Minister Mikhail Gorbachev. The film will make its debut at the Cannes Film Festival with WIP releasing the film domestically in October and Warner International handling international distribution.
