Who doesn't love William Shatner? Oh yeah, pretty much everyone he's ever worked with. However, while his acting style has been parodied over the years, he actually isn't a bad actor. In fact, he won Emmys for his performance as quirky lawyer Denny Crane on BOSTON LEGAL and THE PRACTICE.
And as Shatner has starred in his share of sci-fi, action, and cheapo horror movies, he hasn't done a lot of romantic comedy roles, especially as a lead. Well, that's all about to change in his new film SENIOR MOMENT. Here's the official plot synopsis, according to Variety:
Shatner plays a retired Top Gun Navy pilot who tested aircraft for NASA. After speeding around town in his vintage convertible hot rod with his best friend in tow, he gets caught in a major crackdown to get dangerous senior drivers off the road, resulting in his car being impounded and his license revoked.
Okay, um, I still kind of don't know the plot of the movie after reading that. Is the movie about him being chased by the police and the synopsis gave away the ending? Is his "friend in tow" his romantic interest? Or is it the person he meets at the impound? The mind boggles.
Anyway, there's no release date yet, but we'll keep you posted if anything comes up.
