This coming Valentine's Day, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Will Ferrell, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus are looking to invite you to experience a different kind of disaster movie with DOWNHILL.
Directed by Nat Faxon (THE WAY WAY BACK) and Jim Rash (COMMUNITY), the upcoming comedy focuses on a married couple (Ferrell and Louis-Dreyfus) who, after barely escaping an avalanche during a family ski vacation, find that they are compelled to reevaluate their lives and how they feel about each other.
Joining Ferrell and Louis-Dreyfus for the upcoming comedy in supporting roles are Zach Woods (THE OTHER GUYS, IN THE LOOP) and Miranda Otto (THE LORD OF THE RINGS franchise, THE CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA). Oh, and if you look closely (though how could you miss him), you'll catch a glimpse of Kristofer Hivju of GAME OF THRONES fame, as an exasperated employee of the ski lodge where Pete (Ferrell) and Billie's (Louis-Dreyfus) marriage goes … wait for it … downhill! Hey-o!
The movie was adapted from the Swedish original Force Majeure by SUCCESSION's own Jesse Armstrong and will shush its way into theaters on February 14, 2020.
