Why is Caesar riding a horse in this first photo from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes?

Why would an ape be riding a horse? Because movie logic. That’s why. Not to mention it’s a photo from DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES.

You won’t see Caesar actually riding the horse until the movie comes out (unless it’s in a clip) but for now just get a look at Andy Serkis in his mo-cap outfit. Director Matt Reeves tweeted out the first photo from the film. This is a popular thing with the directors these days.

I was pleasantly surprised by RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES so I welcome this one. They also got a great cast including Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo and Judy Greer. Okay, I’m here for Oldman.

Check out the photo below.

Synopsis: A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
