THE WALKING DEAD has really upped the ante this season. While the show may not be exactly following the comic, they’ve still thrown in a few nice things from the original source material.
Well, it looks like they may be giving us something else that we want– a new character.
This is not a spolier post since we are not sure which character is being introduced, but we do know it’s one from the comic. This is what WALKING DEAD creator, Robert Kirkman had to say about it, “There’s a new character added. A big deal fan favorite from the comic book is introduced into the show in this episode, so be on the lookout for that.” The character will enter the zombie fold for the December 2nd finale. Go figure!
Who could it be? If you’re like me, the one person that we are definitely missing out on is Tyreese. Rumor has it that Chad Coleman (THE WIRE, voice of Coach in LEFT 4 DEAD) has been spotted on set. Tyreese is a former NFL star and badass/right hand man of sorts to Rick. When asked if Tyreese was the character, Kirkman answered, “I don’t know, man! I don’t know. I got no clue!”
Some fans (especially those in my TWD spoiler group on Facebook) think that Daryl is in the place of Tyreese. I have a theory that Tyreese is one of the Governor’s henchmen. They have yet to say his name, and he gave Michonne this long look a couple of episodes ago. They focused on it long enough that I thought it meant something…otherwise, why bother? Could be wrong though. I put a picture of him below hanging out with Merle (Michael Rooker) and Oscar (Vincent M. Ward).
What do you guys think?
