Last week, I reported on blood sharks who were red for some reason, and now we have glowing red neon sharks (which seems disadvantageous for a predator)…at least if the trailer for the upcoming web series WHERE SEA MONSTERS ROAM is anything to go by. The series is created and written by author Steve Alten, who wrote the successful MEG series, that also became a big-budget blockbuster starring Jason Stathem. And here's the official synopsis:
While on a field expedition investigating the mysterious superheated mineral waters rising from Earth's mantle into Maug Island's cove, marine biologist Dr. Maxime Rostand performs an emergency C-section on a dead shark caught in a trawl net, only to discover a new species – Carcharocles daemonium – a 60-foot Mako, prehistoric cousin of the modern-day Black Demon shark, reported to inhabit the deep waters in the Sea of Cortez. Faced with the risk of introducing an apex predator into our oceans, Dr. Rostand and his companions soon discover there are even more terrifying sea monsters inhabiting the ancient aquifer.
Meanwhile, WHERE SEA MONSTERS ROAM – directed by Maxime Ginolin and starring Maxime Ginolin, Sarah Guerre, Ryan Higley – will be coming out later this year!
