It's been nearly three years since we've had an X-Men film in theaters and eight years since we had the original gang altogether. Now, with X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST hitting the big screen we've got the merging of two timelines, marking one of the biggest superhero casts ever assembled and a time-traveling epic tale that brings to life the classic "Days of Future Past" comics storyline, featuring the first big-screen appearance of the monstrous mutant slayers known as The Sentinels. The film also sees the return of director Bryan Singer to the franchise, picking up where he left off with X2: X-MEN UNITED and delivering an X-film that looks to deliver on the scope and size that is more reminiscent of the source material than its prior entries. Our own JimmyO championed the film in his video review, scoring it a 9/10, while Chris Bumbray seemed to feel about the same, giving it a 9/10 as well.
We've covered the hell out of the film so far, including trailers, TV spots, featurettes, etc., which you can catch up on here. In addition to having our own X-Men week, complete with X-themed columns and the like, we also featured a series of exclusive interviews with the cast, including Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage, Patrick Stewart, Ellen Page, Michael Fassbender, and James McAvoy, all of which you can check out by clicking the image below!
Now that you've traveled back and forth with the lates X-flick for yourself, we want to hear what YOU thought of it! You can POST YOUR OWN REVIEW of the film in the below strikebacks or on your own Movie Fan Central profile. Did it meet your expectations? Did it change your line-up of best to worst of the X-Films? Let's hear it! We'll continue to update the Rotten Tomatoes and MFC scores throughout the long Memorial Day weekend and see how well our favorite mutants fare!
