Tom Cruise is back in theaters today with yet another sci-fi action yarn in EDGE OF TOMORROW, the groundhog day-esque flick co-starring Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton. Directed by Doug Liman and based on the novel by Hiroshi Sakurazaka the tale finds Cruise playing an inexperienced soldier in a war with alien invaders who relives each day of a major battle, teaming up with Blunt's hard ass warrior to improve his skills as he does. It's a fun premise and thus far the trailers, TV spots, featurettes, and posters have shown a lot of promise for what looks to be a solid, if not outstanding, summer popcorn movie. Our own Chris Bumbray gave the film a 8/10, calling it "…an incredibly slick, entertaining ride."
