Legendary vampire hunter Wesley Snipes is turning his focus on wiping out zombies in the upcoming Winter State Entertainment project OUTBREAK Z. Snipes has signed on to star in and executive produce the film, which will mark the feature directorial debut of stuntman Chris Brewster.
Brewster often serves as fight choreographer on the movies and TV shows he works on, like the Daredevil series, ANT-MAN AND THE WASP, and BLACK PANTHER. When you combine Snipes with a director who can put together cool fight scenes, OUTBREAK Z could turn out to be something special. Of course, zombies don't tend to put up much of a fight, but we might still see Snipes beat the hell out of them.
Snipes will be playing one of
two SWAT officers on a desperate hunt through an overrun college campus in search of a man who holds a vaccine to a zombie virus.
OUTBREAK Z has been written by Hamid Torabpour, Clint Narramore, and Andrew Kightlinger.
Peter Wise is producing the filming. Executive producing with Snipes are Hamid Torabpour, Camille Torabpour, Dr. Mark Smith, and Patrick Werksma.
The project is currently aiming to start filming in Minnesota this summer.
