We all know that Marvel is officially rebooting BLADE and they have snagged MOONLIGHT, GREEN BOOK, and TRUE DETECTIVE season 3 star Mahershala Ali as the title character. We know this. But what does original BLADE star Wesley Snipes think of the recasting? Turns out, he loves it!
Snipes officially spoke about the casting of Ali, saying:
To all the DAYWALKERS losing their minds right now, chillaaxx. Although the news comes as a surprise, it’s ALL GOOD. Such is the ‘business’ of ‘entertainment!’ Much peace to the MCU crew – always a fan. Honor and respect to the grandmaster Stan. The original BLADE followed this synopsis:
Half-mortal, half-immortal is out to avenge his mother's death and rid the world of vampires. The modern-day technologically advanced vampires he is going after are in search of his special blood type needed to summon an evil god who plays a key role in their plan to execute the human race.
