It’s been quite some time since we’ve last heard anything pertaining to the Wesley Snipes-starring GALLOWWALKERS, thanks in no small part to Mr. Snipes legal troubles. It was way back in 2006 when we first heard news on this much-maligned production, and in 2010 we heard rumblings that Snipes’ voice would be replaced in post-production by a sound alike! I’m guessing that the producers thought better of that decision and decided to ride it out until Snipes was released from prison. With his release imminent (hopefully in July) it seems that GALLOWWALKERS is back in full swing as the horror-western has just scored a new poster and we have it for you below!
GALLOWWALKERS is the story of a mysterious gunman, Aman (Snipes), the son of a nun, who breaks her covenant with God to ensure his survival. Her break with God curses her son to be hunted by all those who die by his hand – When he takes revenge on a gang that murdered his love, the gang rises as a cursed crew of undead warriors and hunt him mercilessly, seeking their ‘dying’ revenge.
GALLOWWALKERS, which stars Snipes, Diamond Dallas Page, Simona Brhlikova and Jonathan Garcia, will receive its market premiere screening on February 8 at the Berlin European Film Market. Andrew Goth and Joanne Ray directed this story of a cursed gunman who incurs the wrath of undead warriors after he kills the gang that murdered his lover.
We’re hoping to hear some news on a buyer/distributor and release information soon, so keep checking back!
Shades of Sergio Leone? GALLOWWALKERS sounds like it’s gonna be a helluva lotta fun!
