Wes Anderson throws fans a bone with a new Isle of Dogs poster

Today, acclaimed filmmaker Wes Anderson has given us all a break from the never-ending onslaught of Star Wars-related news by sharing a new poster for his upcoming stop-motion animated feature ISLE OF DOGS.

The poster depicts the animation's main character, Atari Kobayashi, surrounded by a pack of mischievous dogs. In my estimation, the art is busy and bright, which makes for a fun poster that's bound to get Anderson fans excited for his newest stop-motion animated film since 2009's FANTASTIC  MR. FOX.

You can check out the new poster below:

ISLE OF DOGS tells the story of ATARI KOBAYASHI, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.

The poster appeared online courtesy of Anderson's Instagram account, which you can see for yourself right here:
