We’ll revisit a familiar set in Bates Motel season 2

After a successful and tension-filled first season I know many of you are stoked for the return of A&E's "Bates Motel". Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga are reprising their roles as Norman and Norma Bates and they will see newcomers Kathleen Robertson, Paloma Kwiatkowski and Michael Vartan join the series with new episodes set to begin airing in early 2014. As we anxiously await news as to an exact date to expect to check into "Bates Motel" TV Guide has learned that the second season will offer us a new look at a familiar set.

In season 2 the show will introduce the infamous fruit cellar where Mother's stuffed body is revealed at the conclusion of Alfred Hitchcock's classic PSYCHO. Freddie Highmore, who plays the young Norman Bates, shared…

"There are many creepy things down there."

I'm sure there are! Anyone familiar with Norman's strange 'hobby' probably could imagine what kind of creepiness to expect. Even Vera Farmiga, who plays Norman's mother Norma, let's us know that it won't be a pleasant return to the cellar, stating…

"It makes Norma utterly uncomfortable, as most mothers would be."

In the season premiere, Norman will be working on a project significantly larger than the little dog he stuffed last season. Just how large? Well, executive producer Carlton Cuse says not to jump to any conclusions just yet.

"It's not human. Not yet. We're taking baby steps."

Excited yet? I know I am! We'll be making our reservations at "Bates Motel" as soon as we hear the date for the season premiere!
