Coco keeps the top spot!
Pixar's Day of the Dead adventure COCO remained in first place at the box office this weekend with an estimated $26.1 million!
The animated musical dropped by 48% from its opening last week, and has a domestic total of $108.6 million after 12 days in theaters.
The skeleton-filled crowd-pleaser from TOY STORY 3 director Lee Unkrich also has a worldwide total of $280 million (with $75 million coming just from China).
Without any new wide releases, the landscape remained relatively unchanged with the top six movies holding position from last week.
JUSTICE LEAGUE was in second place again with $16.7 million. The gathering of DC Comics superheroes hasn't been able to fight its way to $200 million domestic after three weekends.
The Zack Snyder/Joss Whedon costumed concoction, which cost a reported $300 million (or more), now has a worldwide total of $567 million.
In third place was the Julia Roberts/Owen Wilson family drama WONDER with $12.5 million. Adding in its overseas total, the $20 million adaptation of R. J. Palacio's novel has crossed $100 million worldwide.
Marvel's cosmic action-comedy THOR: RAGNAROK was in fourth with $9.6 million, bringing it to a $291.4 million domestic total on its fifth weekend.
The Thunder God's third solo adventure now has a worldwide total of $816 million, putting it between the original GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY ($773 million) and VOL. 2 ($863 million) for the global totals in the MCU.
The Will Ferrell/Mark Wahlberg holiday sequel DADDY'S HOME 2 was in fifth place with $7.5 million, giving it a domestic total of $82.8 million after a month on screens. The PG-13 comedy has a worldwide total of $116 million (on a reported cost of $69 million).
MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS was still riding the rails in sixth place with $6.7 million as the lethal train ride has arrived at a domestic total of $84.7 million and $211 million worldwide.
Filmmaker Greta Gerwig's acclaimed comedy-drama LADY BIRD jumped back onto the chart in seventh with $4.5 million after adding 400 locations. The R-rated release starring Saoirse Ronan has a domestic total of $17 million.
THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING MISSOURI was close behind in eighth with $4.5 million as the R-rated black comedy added 816 screens, bringing it to $13.6 million. Animated Christmas movie THE STAR and comedy sequel A BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS closed out the list.
Outside the chart, court was adjourned for Denzel Washington's ROMAN J. ISRAEL, ESQ. after one weekend in the Top 10. In limited release, THE DISASTER ARTIST was welcomed with $1.2 million on just 19 screens. James Franco's exploration of legendary bad movie THE ROOM had a per-screen average of $64k (it expands to 800 screens next week).
Additionally, Guillermo del Toro's creature romance THE SHAPE OF WATER made a splash with a per-screen average of $83k, while Woody Allen's latest WONDER WHEEL started with $28k per-screen.
Next weekend has Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones engaging in elderly mischief in JUST GETTING STARTED, while Margot Robbie straps on skates in limited release with I, TONYA.
