DEADPOOL 2 is bigger, louder, and everyone involved knows it. The new sequel to the meta-mutant blockbuster dives deep into X-FORCE history to give us not only Josh Brolin’s Cable and ATLANTA star Zazie Beetz as the happy-go-lucky Domino, but also HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE star Julian Dennison as Russell, a new take on the aptly-named “Firefist.” Add in JOHN WICK co-creator David Leitch directing, and screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have a new hit fans will be talking about more than the Merc-With-A-Mouth himself.
We caught up with both Reynolds and the new additions at a recent junket, and even had a chance to speak to Leitch and the screenwriters (with more to come). In particular, Reynolds clued us in on why ATOMIC BLONDE director Leitch was the perfect choice to take over for Tim Miller, while Brolin joked about his hesitation to take on a second superhero movie role after AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR. Plus, find out what Reese and Wernick have to say about the sequel’s biggest challenges, and how they developed the film’s take on Cable. You can see it all for yourself with DEADPOOL 2 now in theaters!
