We talk Cult of Chucky with Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent & more

Fair warning: The following text and interviews contain CULT OF CHUCKY SPOILERS. Proceed at your own risk if you haven’t already seen the film.

CULT OF CHUCKY is a ridiculously fun and game-changing entry into the CHILD’S PLAY/CHUCKY franchise, a movie that takes its time getting where it’s going but once it gets there all bets are off. The finale of the film not only offers us multiple Chuckys (at least three in one room), but a shocker of an ending where the spirit of Charles Lee Ray possesses the body of his latest adversary, Nica. A cool twist, made even cooler by the fact that Nica is played by Fiona Dourif, real-life daughter of Chucky’s longtime voice actor Brad Dourif. You can’t get much more meta and inside-jokey than that!

The film should be considered a treat for fans of the series, since it features a regular “who’s who” of CHUCKY stars. Included are Alex Vincent – who returns as tormented Andy Barclay – and Christine Elise, who pops up at the very end to reprise her role as Kyle, Andy’s step-sister from CHILD’S PLAY 2. Below is a juicy talk with the two actors about returning to the franchise after so many years and memories of CHUCKY movies past.

Next up we have two more familiar faces: CULT OF CHUCKY writer-director Don Mancini – who has written every movie in the series and directed three of them – and Tiffany herself, Jennifer Tilly, who returns briefly in CULT as the hilarious Tiffany/Jennifer Tilly hybrid who continues to help out Chucky. Both are always so splendid to talk to, and this time is no different; we talk the surprises in CULT, what’s next for Tiffany, Chucky and Nica, and much more!

Finally, we have the very cool duo of Brad and Fiona Dourif, the father-daughter team at the epicenter of the CHUCKY franchise. Brad returns to voice Charles Lee Ray for the staggering seventh time, while Fiona tackles the sympathetic – at least until the very end of CULT – role of Nica for the second time. Fiona and Brad spoke about what it’s like to be a part of such a long-running franchise, tackling the iconic character of Charles Lee Ray, the passing of the Chucky torch and more!
