We interview Will Arnett, Zach Galifianakis & more for The LEGO Batman Movie

As much as I loved THE LEGO MOVIE, I was a little skeptical about the follow-up. Thankfully, everything IS awesome about THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE. Starring Will Arnett as Batman, Michael Cera as Robin, Rosario Dawson as Barbara Gordon and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker, the film manages to pay tribute to all things Batman in the best of ways. Directed by Chris McKay, who is a massive DC and Batman fan, the film is as much fun as it is for the young ones as it is for those of us already well initiated on The Dark Knight. This is hilarious! The laughs never stop in this joyfully entertaining LEGO Batman adventure.

Recently, we had the pleasure of talking to some of the fine people behind THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE. We started with Mr. Bruce Wayne himself, Will Arnett. The actor talked about taking on this iconic role, but being able to show a very different side to the Gotham hero. Especially the more personal aspects of the super heroes life. Director Chris McKay also discussed the same thing. The filmmaker is clearly a huge fan of the character and this world, and he discussed how he was able to bring in some familiar villains that wouldn't necessarily fit into the larger DC Cinematic Universe.

Next up we spoke to Zach Galifianakis and MIchael Cera. The two talked about playing The Joker and Robin, yet it was a very different approach. And since Cera's Robin couldn't keep his pants on once in his crime fighting costume, we found out that Mr. Cera didn't go method for this while recording the dialogue. And finally, we spoke to the film's producer Dan Lin. He talked about expanding the LEGO universe, and just how many different directions they could go. And thankfully, much like the actual product, you can build a universe that brings characters you'd never expect to see on-screen together.

And as a fun little extra, we sat down with Batman, Robin, Barbara Gordon and The Joker. Interestingly, all of the characters appear to think THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE was their own personal story. I'll let you be the judge on that one. If you loved THE LEGO MOVIE and you dig BATMAN, this new flick is a no brainer. It is pure fun with a ton of laughs, and even a little bit of heart.
