I'm going to go out on a limb and state you won't see a more unique film this year than SWISS ARMY MAN. Whether you'll love it or hate it, no one can predict; I myself thought I was not going to dig it based on the trailers and some of the word-of-mouth, but I was completely won over by this bizarre tale of the friendship between a stranded, suicidal man and the farting corpse he finds on the beach. Yes, that's the story of SWISS ARMY MAN, but you won't fully know what this film has to offer until you see if for yourself.
To help sort through this madness, I spoke to the film's two stars: Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe (the former plays the lonely fellow, the latter the dead body). Although there isn't really enough time in the world to talk about the movie, I managed to get in questions about the divisive reactions it has received, the appeal of such a weird project and the difficulties that come with playing a rotting carcass.
