David Cronenberg's remake of 1958's THE FLY was a massive success and put his unique type of body horror into the mainstream. A perfect blend of horror and sci-fi with the eccentric Jeff Goldblum as the mad scientist Seth Brundle and the always great Geena Davis as the reporter turned love interest, Veronica Quaife.

Of course, a sequel was eventual. Enter THE FLY 2 (WATCH IT HEREOWN IT HERE) to tackle and conclude the storyline of Veronica's half bug pregnancy. A financial and critical failure that made only a little over half of what Cronenbergs film did. Over at Arrow in The Head, we tend to think of THE FLY 2 as misunderstood and a damn fine creature feature in its own right that is overshadowed by the original's brilliance.

THE FLY 2 has the following synopsis:

The almost-human son of "Brundlefly" searches for a cure to his mutated genes while being monitored by a nefarious corporation that wishes to continue his father's experiments.
