Wayward Pines showrunner takes on Blake Crouch’s Abandon

With horror making plenty of noise on the small screen lately, it’s not surprising to see shows of the horror variety popping up all over the place. THR is reporting of a new series that might be worth keeping an eye on as it sees Chad Hodge and Blake Crouch reteam to adapt a second of the author's books for TV.

The “Wayward Pines” showrunner has signed on to adapt Crouch's 2013 thriller “Abandon” for the USA Network. Here's what it's about:

Abandon straddles two time periods and centers on a group of explorers who set out to uncover the mysteries of Abandon, a small mining town deep in the mountains of Colorado whose entire population disappeared on Christmas Eve more than a century ago. However, the eclectic crew is quick to discover that the town may not be as empty as they originally believed.

Hodge, who adapted Crouch’s Pines trilogy as Fox’s upcoming limited series “Wayward Pines,” penned the script alongside Crouch. Hopefully we'll catch more on this one soon, so keep an eye here.
