Get ready to witness LEGO Batman as you've never seen him before! We love Batman punching with a fury of fists in the new The Batman trailer. But what about Lego Batman?
This past Saturday during DC Fandome, Matt Reeves dropped an official trailer for THE BATMAN, which gave us our first real look at Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight in action. Taking place during the second year of Bruce Wayne's crime-fighting career, THE BATMAN promises an interpretation of the iconic character that fans have yet to experience on the big screen. As the trailer unfurled its leathery wings online, fans across the globe were immediately taken by Reeves' gritty, SEVEN-like presentation. Framed as a twisted crime noir set in Gotham City, THE BATMAN looks to take a hard look at Batman's time as a vigilante, and how at that point in his career the World's Greatest Detective was perhaps more violent than some fans are used to.
At one point in the trailer, we find a skull-faced gang member taunting a very angry Batman by saying, “Who the hell are you supposed to be?” What comes next is a gasp-inducing Bat-beatdown that had some fans on the edge of their seat and shouting for more. Seriously, Batman just goes to town on this poor jerk, and now an animator by the name of Forrest Whaley has recreated the scene using LEGO minifig characters. Talk about a quick turn-around, amiright?

Like many Bat-fans, I've watched the trailer for Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN an absurd amount of times since its release. In many ways, the movie looks like everything I'd hoped it would be and more. Considering the fact that the trailer was pieced together from just 30% of the film's footage, I'd say we're in pretty good shape.
