Watch Darren Aronofsky and Clint Eastwood’s entire 40 minute conversation about making movies from the Tribeca Film Festival

One of the best things about DVD for film fans was the inclusion of director’s commentary on the majority of movies. Getting the chance to hear filmmakers discuss their choices in making a movie is a very interesting feature that many fans take for granted. The one thing better than hearing a director talk about their choices is having them discuss their craft with a colleague.

At the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, as a part of their Tribeca Talks Director’s Series, award-winning filmmakers Clint Eastwood and Darren Aronofsky sat down to talk about their artistic careers for almost a full hour. In this wondrous internet age, the entire 40 minute conversation is online for us to enjoy.

Despite the flack he caught for his infamous speech at the Republican National Convention last year, Eastwood is still a revered and talented director. Hearing him discuss the challenges in making some of his less than mainstream movies like MILLION DOLLAR BABY and MYSTIC RIVER is fascinating. Add to that Darren Aronofsky hinting at some NOAH details and this is a must see for any film fan.

Clint Eastwood currently has only a potential remake of A STAR IS BORN on his slate while Aronofsky’s NOAH is scheduled to open on March 28, 2014.
