Watch a new promo for Guillermo del Toro’s The Strain starring Corey Stoll

FX is currently gearing up for the summer premiere of Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan's new vampire series “The Strain”, and with that they've release an all new short and sweet promo. I'm hoping we see a full-length trailer soon, but for now we're going to have to settle for these quick and intriguing little trailers—it's better than nothing! Here's what the series will be about:

The Strain is a high-concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Stoll), the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers wage war for the fate of humanity itself.
