Earlier today we hooked you guys up with a brand new TV spot for A&E’s upcoming BATES MOTEL which showed some new footage, and now we’ve got even more! That’s right, A&E has released yet another clip with this extended look at BATES MOTEL which features four solid minutes of the series. I’ve talked to a lot of people about BATES MOTEL and I’m surprised at the lack of excitement. I understand that they are messing with one of horror’s most classic stories but you gotta admit, this is a very cool idea. An early look into Norman Bates’ life and how he becomes the monster we all know is truly fascinating. I think more people are starting to warm up to BATES MOTEL because A&E has been dishing out clips and trailers left and right, with each of them looking better than the next. If you’re still on the fence, take a peak at this latest clip which will give you a great idea at what to expect before the show starts on March 18th.
BATES MOTEL serves as a prequel to the most famous fright film of all-time, PSYCHO. BATES MOTEL will give viewers an intimate understanding of how Norman Bates’ psyche developed from his childhood through his teen years. Fans will have access to the dark, twisted backstory and learn first hand how his mother, Norma, and her lover damaged Norman, helping forge the most well-known serial killing motel owner in history.
The cast includes Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates, Vera Farmiga as Norma Bates, and Max Thieriot as Norman’s older brother, Dylan. Supporting cast members include Mike Vogel, Nestor Carbonell, Nicola Peltz and Olivia Cooke. On The A&E Network from executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin, the show debuts on Monday, March 18 at 10 PM ET/PT.
