Warner Bros. will bring Birds of Prey to Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD on May 12th

Thanks to COVID-19, studios have been pushing digital releases of their films ahead so that we've got something to watch while we're stuck at home, and that includes BIRDS OF PREY. The Warner Bros. film was released digitally last week, but those of us who still prefer to collect physical media (there are dozens of us!) will be pleased to know that BIRDS OF PREY will soon be available on DVD/Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD.

Warner Bros. has announced that BIRDS OF PREY will be released on DVD/Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD on May 12, 2020, just a little over a month from now. Here's a list of special features which will be included on the DVD/Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD releases:

  • Birds Eye View Mode
  • Birds of Prey: Birds of a Feather
  • Grime and Crime
  • Wild Nerds
  • Romanesque
  • Sanity is Sooo Last Season
  • A Love/Skate Relationship
  • Gag Reel

While BIRDS OF PREY received a positive response for the most part, it didn't impress all that much at the box-office, but we've still got more Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) in our future to look forward to as she's set to feature in THE SUICIDE SQUAD. James Gunn's upcoming sequel to the original also finds Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, and Viola Davis reprising their roles from the first film, with new additions such as Idris Elba, John Cena, Nathan Fillion, David Dastmalchian, Michael Rooker, Storm Reid, Taika Waititi, Peter Capaldi, and more. The sequel wrapped production before much of the industry shut down due to COVID-19, and is slated to hit theaters on August 6, 2021.

The official synopsis for BIRDS OF PREY:

When Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis (Ewan McGregor), and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz (Chris Messina), put a target on a young girl named Cass (Ella Jay Basco), the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley (Margot Robbie), Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez)’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.

BIRDS OF PREY will land on DVD/Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD on May 12, 2020.
