Did you love Christopher Nolan's Gotham City? Enough to watch a television series about the police force in the fictional city?
ThinkMcFlyThink has learned that Warner Bros. has hired a writer for a new series that will take place between THE DARK KNIGHT and THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. It is said that the series would focus on Gotham's finest trying to battle crime and corruption during Batman's time away from crime fighting. ThinkMcFlyThink believes it's possible that the series might be inspired by the comic series Gotham Central.
There aren't many details about the show at this point, but apparently Jonathan Nolan will be involved with the project the same way Marc Guggenheim is producing Arrow and Greg Berlanti on the upcoming Flash series. There also isn't news about which network it could end up on, although there's a very good chance it will air on CW.
If the series is in "Nolanverse" I don't think it will be connected to MAN OF STEEL or the planned BATMAN/SUPERMAN film but a stand alone series about Gotham's police force could be very interesting, or at least a different take than your typical “cops on the streets of a major city” television show.
What do you think? Good idea or bad?
