Warner Bros. has two different Aquaman scripts in the works

I don’t think Zack Snyder is the only one with a lot of love for the Aquaman character; it looks as though Warner Bros. and DC have big plans for undersea explorer beyond the likely appearance in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE and the JUSTICE LEAGUE movie that is set to follow it. It’s been reported that WB has gone as far as ordering two separate scripts for an Aquaman movie, which are being written by Will Beall (GANGSTER SQUAD) and Kurt Johnstad (300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE).

They will do a “dual-track development”, where both writers work on different scripts until a decision can be made as to which version will ultimately make it to the big screen. Now that’s pressure! So no, this isn’t two different movies being developed; this is an aggressive way to get one hopefully great script turned in. On the other hand, this sounds pretty desperate and rushed; so is there a basic idea you’re going with or are they just hoping for the best from these writers? Also, would we ever see the other script in any way shape or form? Well, that’s what the Internet is good at I suppose.

Even though Warner Bros. has yet to officially confirm it, we can assume that Jason Momoa is set to play Aquaman. The studio has several untitled superhero release dates, the next few being August 5th, 2016 and June 23rd 2017, and November 17th 2017. Let's give Aquaman a summer release right? It will work well with the posters.
