I’m on the fence when it comes to WANTED, the film adaptation of the Mark Millar novel, directed by Timur Bekmambetov (NIGHT WATCH). The trailer is interesting and I am a James McAvoy fan, but I feel like the rest of the cast detracts from what the film could be (Angelina Jolie for the most part).
ComingSoon.net reported today that Universal Studios surprisingly pushed the film back from it’s original release date of March 28th.
Universal Pictures has moved the release date of its hotly anticipated fantasy-action-thriller Wanted from spring to summer. The film will now be released on Friday, June 27, rather than its former release date of March 28.
Doesn’t really seem that surprising to me. They are putting it during the summer blockbuster season where it could possibly make the most money. If you head over here you can read the entire press release about the date change.
