Lisbeth Salander, the punk princess from THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, certainly has unique sense of style but it’s not one that I ever thought many people would want to try and copy. Shows what I know.
Sony Pictures and THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO have teamed up with fashion retailer H&M on a Salander-inspired clothing line to coincide with the film’s release this December. Trish Summerville, the film’s costume designer, adapted the character’s styles into 30 pieces that include battered jeans, cropped leather jackets and hoodies (can’t you just get that at The Gap?). What’s most humorous is that Summerville got actress Rooney Mara’s wardrobe on the cheap at Swedish second-hand shops. And now H&M will be selling versions for a pretty penny.
The collection will debut in Paris on November 28th before making its way to 180 carefully selected H&M stores and their online shop.
