Athough 2020 may be passing us by without a single Marvel Cinematic Universe film, that itch will soon be scratched with the release of WandaVision, Marvel's first TV show for the Disney+ streaming service. Starring Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany as Vision, the upcoming series aims to blend classic TV sitcoms with the MCU for a story that finds two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives, only to begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

As we've seen from the various images and trailers, WandaVision will be paying homage to classic sitcoms such as The Dick Van Dyke Show and I Love Lucy, and Marvel has released a new poster for WandaVision which is delightfully retro but with a hint of something cosmic just beyond.

In addition to putting the MCU spin on sitcoms like The Dick Van Dyke Show and I Love Lucy, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige previously teased that subsequent episodes of WandaVision will be touching on more modern sitcoms, such as The Office and Modern Family.

I loved TV, and watched far too much The Dick Van Dyke Show and I Love Lucy and Bewitched and everything. We go up to the Modern Family and The Office style. The talk-to-the-camera, shaky-camera, documentary style.

WandaVision will debut on Disney+ on January 15, 2021.
