As he is wont to do from time to time, Jim Hill has pulled back the veil of mystery behind Pixar’s post-RATATOUILLE offering WALL-E and revealed a significant amount of story details. These aren’t just minor details peppered with generalized statements pretending to be actual story details either (as Hill is also wont to do from time to time), these are genuinely spoilery plot points. Let’s start with defining the film’s titular acronym, for example: Waste Allocation Load Lifters – Earth Class. And that’s just the tip of the 3D animated polygonal iceberg. This film, it seems, will be Pixar’s most ambitious to date in terms of scope, storytelling and, of course, animation and considering it’s directed by Andrew Stanton, the creative force behind many of Pixar’s most successful films, that’s not too surprising. Get the details by clicking on the film’s logo below. It’s set for release June 27th, 2008.
