Just yesterday we brought you some details regarding AMC's upcoming spinoff of "The Walking Dead" (codename: "Cobalt") but now we're hearing that a potential crossover between the two shows may already be in the works.
Nerdist got the scoop that at least one member of the upcoming spinoff's cast will appear in a six-episode arc during Season 6 of “The Walking Dead”. Nerdist says this character will cross paths with Team Rick before presumably heading to Los Angeles (where the spinoff is set), but considering that all signs point to the spinoff being set in the early days of the zombie outbreak one has to wonder if this character will be an older version of him/herself since a lot of time has passed since the initial outbreak on "The Walking Dead".
The new series is said to revolve around a divorced teacher (Cliff Curtis) and a guidance counselor (Kim Dickens), who are working together and are in a relationship. The counselor has two children from a previous marriage, played by Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey.
"The Walking Dead" spinoff series is reportedly set to premiere later this year.
