Waking Nightmare: Man has sinking feeling during sleep paralysis nightmare!

Last week, a new series called Waking Nightmare made its debut on the Paranormal Network YouTube channel. Now the second episode of Waking Nightmare has been released, and you can check it out in the embed above! In this one, a man has a sinking feeling while experiencing sleep paralysis.

This show is an anthology series that chronicles real stories of people’s experiences with sleep paralysis. Each episode in the series will retell a different, separate nightmare.

What is sleep paralysis, you ask? It is a transient state between waking and sleeping where the body is immobile and the mind will often hallucinate, combining dreams with the real world around the dreamer. While some people grow accustomed to this unusual occurrence, it is typically the cause for immense fear and anxiety. This feeling is what we wished to capture by recreating the dreams we were told, creating a shared experience that can help foster a place for people to share their own stories.

The episode of Waking Nightmare at the top of this article is called Sink, and it’s based on something that was dreamed by Samir Abady. A Sassy Mare Production, Sink was Directed by Justin Moriarty, with Casey Fitzgerald serving as Director of Photography. Fitzgerald also Produced the episode with Brigitte Mooney. Sink stars Ben Venturina. Nuke/SFX & Color Correction: Andrew Leone. Music and Sound: Jordan Kaufmann. Set & Costume Design: Deborah Uzurin. Intro Animation: Erica Langworthy. Production Assistant: Eric LoGuidice.
